Article 11, Title II of the Public Health Law requires that realty subdivisions that have five or more lots that are five acres or smaller in size must be approved by the Cayuga County Health Department before the subdivision map is filed in the Cayuga County Clerk's office.  Plans must be submitted by a design professional, a professional engineer or registered architect, and must include details showing water supply and sewage treatment systems.

This program provides services in the following areas:

  • Reviews plans for new subdivision proposals.
  • Provides information to developers and municipalities regarding plan submittal and approval process.
