Lake Access
Did you know that the Town of Scipio has two access points to Owasco Lake for use by town residents?
The town has a boat launching area near the end of Ensenore Road. This area is available for any town resident who needs a place to put his/her boat in or out of the lake. A quick dip, of course, is also an option on a hot summer day!

A second access point is located at the end of fire lane 26 and is a swimming and picnic area for town residents, open dawn 'til dusk. While small, this area is perfect for a quick dip or lazy summer afternoon. It is a small area and parking is limited, so please be respectful of neighbors when using this public space.

Unsafe Buildings Law
The Town Board has passed a law establishing the authority of the Town to require that an unsafe building be repaired or demolished and removed. The law lays out a process, along with appeal, to accomplish this and defines under what circumstances such a law shall be invoked. Click here for the complete text of the law, or contact the Town Clerk at scipiotown@gmail.com to receive a copy.
