VILLAGE OF MORAVIA MARCH 26, 2010

SPECIAL BOARD MEETING

Mayor Gary Mulvaney called the meeting to order at 10:02 a.m. Trustees Nancy McGuerty, Gary Fickeisen and Village Clerk Anne Riddell were in attendance. Trustees Chris Leonard and Tony Peppe were absent.

A motion was made by Trustee McGuerty, seconded by Trustee Fickeisen and carried with a 3-0 vote to approve the following resolution:

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor of the Village of Moravia is hereby authorized by the Village of Moravia Board of Trustees to enter into an intermunicipal agreement pursuant to Article 5 (G) of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York with the Moravia Central School District and any other municipality, in order for the Moravia Central School District to submit an application to the Local Government Efficiency Program for the 2009-2010 program year to develop, operate and maintain cooperative fuel storage and pumping facilities, and is further authorized to execute all documents in connection with this application; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Village of Moravia is also committed to matching it’s local share of 10% for the Moravia Community Cooperative Municipal Fuel Station should Moravia Central School District receive up to it’s maximum amount of $134,640.29 of which Moravia Central School District is hereby requesting; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Moravia Central School District, Town of Moravia, Village of Moravia, Four Town First Aid Squad, Moravia Fire Department, and Locke Fire Department are included in entering into an intermunicipal agreement pertaining to the Moravia Community Cooperative Municipal Fuel Station Grant; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Superintendent of Moravia Central School District is hereby authorized by the Village of Moravia Board of Trustees to execute all financial and/or administrative processes relating to the Moravia Community Cooperative Municipal Fuel Station Grant Program, and

A motion was made by Trustee Fickeisen, seconded by Trustee McGuerty and carried with a 3-0 vote to adjourn at 10:11 a.m.
